This week, Reddit is taking its first step into the world of video with the test of its “video Reddit” experience. Meta is expanding its AI-based gaming app and YouTube is making its CTV app even better. And, LinkedIn is jumping onto the clipping bandwagon with its new AI-powered clips tool for Live videos.

Meanwhile, social is busy bedazzling everything they can. And believe me, if we could bedazzle this round up, we would. 💎 Read on for more social media news.

YouTube has also added Show and Podcast tabs to the Watch page and added a new Shorts access point. There is also a new account locking feature, and improved QR sign-in flow and lots more small – yet helpful – updates.

LinkedIn has introduced a new AI-powered tool that will recommend clips from live event recordings. The tool automatically picks the best parts of the live and puts them in a mini window for you to edit. The tool also generates chapters for longer recordings to help users skip through to specific sections. The tool is available now for all users globally.
